Phoenix Montessori School is looking for a support staff person

Phoenix Montessori School has been in operation since 1999.  We have moved into our new facility at Station Road and Mimico Avenue.  Our new school has a licensed childcare capacity of 125 children with an Elementary program as well.  This position is to assist us in all areas of the school, from Infant to Casa.  It is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 10 am to 6 pm.  Phoenix offers group health and dental benefits and a competitive salary.  You will be joining a supportive, loyal and caring group of educators.  Please send your resume to lpriolo@phoenixmontessori.ca or call the school at 416-695-1212.


  • Be conversant in and be willing to follow the Ministry of Education licensing requirements as per the CCEYA
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and caring environment to ensure the highest quality of Montessori programming.
  • Using the Montessori philosophy, assist the educator in directing and redirecting the children to engaging and fulfilling activities
  • Observes and interacts with children at their level and supports them in their learning
  • Assisting the children with toilet learning (0-3 years)
  • Staff are required to attend meetings, professional development and training sessions regularly

Mildenhall Montessori Schools is seeking an extraordinary Elementary Guide for our Mildenhall
Montessori School located in Mimico, Etobicoke, to start September 2018.

The Mildenhall School is is accredited by the Canadian Council of Montessori Administrators and is
listed with the Ontario Ministry of Education as an independent school. It currently provides an

Job Duties:

  • Review all program plans weekly, over see staff to ensure that program supplies and materials needed are available.
  • Oversee program implementation provide regular feedback to staff including annual performance reviews and behaviour management.
  • Reviews programs for compliance of Health and Safety (Ministry of Labour), Provincial Licensing (Ministry of Education), Public Health, and Toronto District School Board requirements and standards and all other governing bodies.
  • Assesses classrooms and organization of equipment and recommends or makes necessary changes.
  • Review and ensure all accident/incident reports and documentation is accurate and completed with the required detail in a professional manner (objective, neat, correct spelling/grammar etc.)
  • Arrange of staffing coverage on an as needed basis (staff call ins and last minute scheduling) managing attendance and punctuality of all staff and placement students and maintains supply staff list.  Ensures staff schedules are reflective of the needs of the centre meeting ratios all the time.
  • Participates, and conducts staff meetings. Plans/prepares and leads team related meetings.
  • Oversees maintenance of program supplies, equipment and provides recommendations. Purchasing and receiving product.
  • Maintains bulletin board postings, and ensures required information is posted and readily available to the members of the school.
  • Must have experience with CCMA policies and procedures, as the school is an applicant member whose goal is CCMA accreditation.
