IT’S ALL ABOUT THE CHILDREN
Understanding child development and helping to empower children are the pillars of what we offer. Teachers guide the children as they seek independence through interactions with their prepared environment. We are here to help create responsible, caring, and confident leaders of the future. We want children to be life-long learners, to be part of a community of learners, and to grow into adults who can make a difference in the world. In the infant room, you will help promote healthy interactions while the children learn new skills. Particular focus on independence, movement, concentration, and confidence is essential. Developing a loving bond and seeing the children flourish are only some of the rewards of working in this room.
Love. Nurturing. Peace. Friendship. Patience
THE MONTESSORI PHILOSOPHY
Montessori Mantra promotes aspects of development that will lead to a life-long love for learning. Our focus on cognitive, perceptual, social, emotional, language, gross-motor, and creative and expressive abilities sets us apart from the rest. We have developed our own method of delivering care and education to young children – a blend of Montessori principles/philosophy and the best practices of Early Childhood Education. This combination of approaches provides our children with a framework that is important for children to grow and flourish: A sense of belonging, a sense of well-being, a sense of engagement, and the ability to express oneself. This encourages the development of skills that parents have identified as important: reading, math, and creative arts. We also emphasize social skills and respect for others. Dr. Montessori calls this collection of manners "Grace and Courtesy".
