Brilliant Futures Montessori is located at 325 Scott Street, St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, and is a fully licensed childcare centre and Montessori school, that provides part-time and full-time programs for children ages 18 months up to 6 years of age. Through Brilliant Futures, children receive care designed to help them develop their academic, emotional and social skills, and grow the foundations they will need to succeed in life. Along with some classroom responsibilities, this person will be responsible for ensuring that CCEYA rules and regulations are adhered to, that licensing visits are well managed and followed up and completed in a timely manner. This person is also responsible for assisting writing school policies and procedures to follow CCEYA regulations.


  • An AMI Montessori diploma at Infant/Toddler or Casa level.
  • Membership with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE) is an asset but not a requirement.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ of teaching experience
  • Previous supervisory experience in a Montessori environment / day care or other working environment is an asset

  • Flexibility with the ability to manage and work with clients, staff and licensing

  • Experience mentoring and coaching team/staff members
  • Sound knowledge of the CCEYA, regulations and legislation to ensure proper licencing requirements
  • Proficient computer skills, especially in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication skills in both oral and written communications
  • Cool and calm under pressure
  • Dependable and responsible
  • Proven ability to multi-task


  • Work with a dynamic team of educators and assist with day-to-day operations with the school
  • Oversee implementation, monitor and update CCEYA rules, regulations and policies
  • Attend regional meetings in relation of CCEYA
  • Update all health listings, including health posters, classroom listings, dietary restrictions, menus, etc.
  • Supervise, conduct reviews and provide guidance and support to all staff in relation to CCEYA
  • Manage student to staff ratios, such as staff schedule, supply coverage, etc.

MontessoriWorks is currently looking for a Montessori School Supervisor/Administrator who is experienced, highly-motivated, passionate, and enjoys working effectively with staff, families and children.

The Supervisor will be responsible for the day to day operations of the MontessoriWorks, planning of the program and act as the liaison with staff, parents and children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing leadership in keeping with the Montessori Philosophy
  • Enhancing and ensuring a positive and friendly school environment
  • Ensuring the school meets CCEYA, Public Health and CCMA standards       
  • Creating a monthly newsletter and updates to the school system
  • Responsible for inventory control/allocation
  • Communicating with parents and staff
  • Managing all student records
  • Email communication with parents and inquiries
  • Conducting tours
  • Coordinating all school events such as concerts, workshops, open houses, school picnic, extra- curricular activities and field trips

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • AMI/MACTE Diploma, and/or RECE (an asset)
  • 3+ years supervisory experience
  • CPR certificate
  • Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience working with children age from 18 months – age of 6
