Kawartha Montessori School - Adolescent Guide

Kawartha Montessori School is a well-established, accredited Montessori school in the beautiful
Peterborough area and we are seeking an Adolescent Guide for our Grade 7/8 class (Middle
School). Our Middle School program has a rigorous academic component along with a diversified
co-curricular component. Students work in a collaborative environment where accountability and
critical thinking are fostered and guided. This unique program is both empowering and challenging
for students and staff!

This position is to cover a maternity leave and is to commence near the end of November 2018. The
ideal candidate has a solid grounding in adolescent education, experiential learning, Montessori
philosophy, and holds a Bachelor of Education degree (ideally intermediate level).
Strong preference for a teacher with classroom and field experience with grades 7 and 8.
Candidates must hold at least one of the following certifications: NLS, WFR, Wilderness first aid, or
ORCKA Canoe or Kayak. Candidates with Montessori training and experience at other levels plus
experience with adolescents, are invited to apply as well.

We are the only CCMA accredited Montessori school in the region. We are proud of our supportive

A well-established Montessori community school in Toronto is seeking an Adolescent Guide for a small Grade 7/8 class (12 children for 2018-19).  The ideal candidate has a solid grounding in Montessori philosophy, and holds a Montessori Diploma from a MACTE/AMI Accredited Training Center.

Strong preference for an experienced guide with Adolescent Training (12-18). Candidates with Montessori training and experience at other levels, plus experience with adolescents, are invited to apply as well.
