Ashwood Glen is seeking an experienced, highly committed and passionate Supervisor/Manager for our Children’s House. The Supervisor/Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the optimal operation of the early childhood educational program. The Supervisor/Manager works in collaboration with the Head of School/Principal.

The applicant should have noticeable experience in working with children in licensed childcare centre or Montessori school setting.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership to all staff and assisting them with effective implementation of Montessori and IB PYP curriculum in accordance with directives and guidelines outlined by the school.
  • Enhancing and ensuring a positive and friendly school environment.
  • Developing, maintaining and nurturing relationships with families, children, staff and other parties (such as Region of Halton and Ministry of Education).
  • Ensuring school consistently meets CCEYA, Public Health and CCMA requirements.
  • Maintaining children and staff record and preparing reports as required by Region and Ministry.
  • Preparing and organizing staff meetings and training.
  • Preparing weekly schedule for all staff and ensuring ratios are always met.
  • Interviewing new personnel along with Director and/or Head of School as required.
  • Providing mentorship and support to all staff and ensuring smooth and effective implementation of program.
  • Coordinating school events such as concerts, workshops, open houses, school picnic and field trips.
  • Creating monthly newsletter and updates for school’s social media and online presence.
  • Overseeing and ensuring classroom supplies and materials are adequately stocked at all times.
  • Creating and monitoring monthly/quarterly budgets along with Director and Head of School.
  • Assisting in school’s marketing initiatives to build enrollment.


  • Experienced, mature individual with a proven work record of excellence
  • A minimum of 3 years’ of supervisory experience
  • AMI/MACTE Diploma and/or Registered Early Childhood Education Certification is an asset
  • Good working knowledge of “How Does Learning Happen” and/or Montessori Curriculum
  • Clean police record
  • Current “First Aid & CPR” certificate
  • Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check (within the last six months)

Pine Lake Montessori School (PLMS) is a small, well-established school located in North York, ON. Fully licensed by the Ministry of Education and accredited by Canadian Council of Montessori Administrators, PLMS prides itself on creating a collaborative and diverse learning environment for children from the time they are toddlers, until the end of grade three.   • An AMI/MACTE accredited Montessori diploma at the Casa or Toddler level
  • An active membership with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE) would be considered an asset, but not a requirement
  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional teaching experience in a classroom setting
  • Previous supervisory experience in a Montessori environment, day care, or another working environment would be considered an asset
  • Must be currently eligible to work in Canada

  • Work with a dynamic team of educators and assist with day-to-day operations within the school
  • Manage, update, and organize all student and staff records
  • Supervise and implement PLMS program statement and curricula
  • Oversee the implementation of the CCEYA rules, regulations and policies, and monitor and update accordingly
  • Attend regional meetings relating to the CCEYA
  • Plan and Lead staff meetings
  • Supervise, conduct reviews, and provide guidance and support to all staff in relation to CCEYA
  • Coordinate all school events such as concerts, workshops, open houses, the school picnic, extra- curricular activities, and field trips
  • Update all health listings, including health posters, classroom listings, dietary restrictions, menus, etc.
  • Ensure the student to staff ratio is always on par with regulations and adjust staff scheduling and supply coverage as necessary
  • Support on some human resource initiatives including recruitment, training, mentorship, and the evaluation of staff
  • Develop and enforce personnel policies and procedures

Tender Treasures Montessori School is currently looking for a School’s Supervisor who is highly-motivated, experienced, and enjoys working effectively with students, families and staff.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • RECE, AMI/MACTE Diploma (an asset)
  • Minimum of 3+ years supervisory experience
  • Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators
  • CCEYA Self-Test
  • Food Handler Certificate
  • Current Vulnerable Sector’s Screen that has been completed within 6 months
  • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C Certification
  • 2-Step TB Skin Test
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point.)
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills - English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
