Aurora Montessori School is a co-educational Montessori private school located in the heart of
Aurora, Ontario on 14 acres of natural conservation lands. AMS delivers robust Montessori
programming to students aged Toddler to Grade 8 in a 36,000 sq. ft facility with multiple state of
the art playground areas, an outdoor amphitheatre and outdoor classroom, a gymnasium with a
performance stage, and so much more.

intellectual, emotional, social, spiritual, and physical development.

Aurora Montessori School is seeking a dynamic and engaging Elementary Information and
Communications Technology educator who has a love for children and technology. AMS teachers
are committed, personable and welcoming, and have the ability to competently reach out to their
students and families, creating relationships of mutual trust and respect.

The ideal candidate should be confident in the use of technology and have an aptitude and interest
to learn new applications and software.

o Montessori Elementary Diploma (6-12 years) from a MACTE accredited or AMI training
centre or OCT qualifications is considered an asset
o Degree or diploma in computer-related studies is considered an asset
o Proficiency with Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
o Confident using Zoom or Teams for video conferencing and being on-camera
o Knowledge of EDSBY Learning Management System is considered an asset
o Proficient in a variety of digital resources that can be integrated into daily activities to
enhance learning
o An excitement and interest in technology (EdTech)
o Must be able to work extended hours to participate in school activities, including parent
evenings, Open Houses, concerts, and other school sanctioned events
o Follow the school’s policies and procedures
o Highly skilled in classroom management, record keeping, child observations, parent
communications, report card writing and more
o Assess and record student progress and provide assessment and feedback
o Self-starter with high energy, flexibility, initiative, and the ability to multi-task
o Experience working collaboratively as part of a team
o Excellent interpersonal skills
o Strong oral and written skills
o Current Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
o Current Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C
o Up to date Immunization Health Screening/Record

o Deliver engaging computer technology lessons to students in Grades 1-8
o Support and motivate teachers in the development of projects and practices that
purposefully use technology as a transformative teaching and learning tool
o Foster responsible digital citizenship and digital fluency among students in Grades 1-8
o Provide technical support for students, teachers, and parents on selected EdTech platforms
such as Edsby, Office 365 and Raz-Kids
o Conduct teacher training sessions to introduce various digital resources to enhance lesson
plans and assignments
o Provide onsite and remote technical support to staff and students
o Serve as an internal resource and advocate for technology integration and digital citizenship
and fluency across areas of AMS
o Work with the VP of Academics and Curriculum and the Director of Technology with
technology integration needs and the school’s educational technology vision in the context
of our strategic plan
o Work closely with Director of Technology to carry out all duties and special events
o Participate in professional development opportunities related to technology
o Deploy and manage devices to students in Grades 1-8
o Design and facilitate learning experiences that support the individualized learning needs of
all students
o Develop a safe, caring, and engaging learning environment that is grounded in AMS’ core
values of respect, inclusivity, inquisitiveness, and kindness
o Monitor, provide feedback and assess student learning using a range of tools and strategies
o Communicate effectively and regularly with colleagues, students, and their families
o Attend and participate in school functions and events
