Trail Ridge Montessori is recruiting for a Lower Elementary Teacher at our Main Campus starting September, 2022.

About Trail Ridge Montessori

Founded in 2001, Trail Ridge Montessori (TRM) offers a program from 18 months to 8 years old. Two campuses; main and junior are stationed around the corner from each other. At Trail Ridge, we believe in all children. We provide a nurturing environment to encourage each child to develop, learn concepts and develop a sense of self-worth and independence. To achieve this, we treat each child with respect and guide them individually on how to be academically and socially secure.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Head of Schools, the Montessori teacher will create lesson plans focused on developing social, physical, intellectual, and emotional skills, and assess children’s individual needs. They will provide a supportive, safe, caring environment as well as participate in extracurricular events as directed by the Head of Schools.

Applicants should have a MACTE-Accredited Montessori Diploma, current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C with AED certificate, good health assessment, and a clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check.

• Gentle and nurturing disposition while promoting an engaging curriculum in an orderly and safe prepared classroom environment built on respect, empathy, and kindness.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to children, parents, and school personnel.
• Good oral and written communication skills with fluency in English.
• Self-motivated with an ability to multi-task, a professional attitude, and attention to detail and accuracy.
• Skilled in planning and implementing lesson plans, preparing progress reports, conducting formal parent interviews, maintaining accurate records, and good classroom management.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment to help our students flourish.
• Follow the school’s policies and procedures with a strong commitment to the Montessori philosophy.
• Confident in the use of technology and capable of using Zoom and Google Classroom.
