The Canadian Council of Montessori Administrators (CCMA) promotes excellence in Montessori education through accreditation, support, and service, and provides a unified voice for its member schools across Canada. The CCMA was founded in 1977 by a group of administrators committed to supporting each other and promoting awareness of what a high-quality Montessori school offers to families. Today, the CCMA serves more than 140 member schools that are diverse in size.

The CCMA seeks a Marketing & Engagement Coordinator (MEC) to coordinate and deliver marketing services and engage partners, funders and stakeholders locally, nationally and internationally. Grounded in best-practice, marketing and service delivery methods and standards the MEC will source, create and coordinate member, partner, funder and stakeholder engagement opportunities. Reporting to the Executive Director, the MEC will have a Montessori certification from a MACTE or AMI accredited institution coupled with business administration, marketing, fundraising and communications expertise.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Marketing & Engagement Coordinator role is a new position within the CCMA. The MEC role has been created as the CCMA seeks to advance its national membership, fundraising efforts and partner engagement in supporting access to high-quality, Montessori education across Canada. It is an exciting time to join the CCMA team!

General role description:

  • Ongoing outreach and engagement with partners, stakeholders, educators, subject matter experts, Training Colleges, funders and federal and provincial governments
  • Inform and develop CCMA value proposition and marketing/engagement materials
  • Develop and deploy a range of communications tools and practices with a goal of increasing engagement and service satisfaction
  • Conduct research, collect and develop relevant content for CCMA social media platforms and website on a regular, ongoing basis
  • Identify, create and deliver fundraising opportunities and events
  • Inform and achieve annual fundraising revenue targets
  • Working cross-functionally with other team members to develop and implement communication strategies and fundraising campaigns that support the CCMA and member objectives
  • Develop, implement and maintain databases and reporting – create, compile, and provide regular and ad-hoc reporting to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support identification, development and delivery of Professional Development opportunities including coordination, and oversight
  • General administrative duties, and business support to all areas of the CCMA

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

The following are required for this role:

  • Montessori certification from a MACTE or AMI accredited institution 
  • Intermediate level member, partner and stakeholder engagement and fundraising experience obtained in a CCMA accredited school setting or in an environment of comparable dimensions and complexity
  • An understanding and an appreciation for the unique characteristics and complexities of Montessori schools
  • Proven background and interest in marketing, grant writing, fund development and community outreach

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Self-directed, self-starter with the ability to manage time, priorities and work independently
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience using social media for commercial purposes (Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.) and monitoring engagement and key performance indicators across platforms
  • Proficient with MS Teams, Zoom and other collaboration platforms
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders
  • Commitment to professional development
  • Disciplined, multi-facetted, organized individual with the flexibility to deal simultaneously with competing priorities
  • Strong planning and implementation skills
  • Direct, clear, consistent style, approachable, and compassionate, a sense of humour

SCHEDULE AND LOCATION

Part-time position. Schedule flexibility and remote working options available. Travel throughout Ontario and across Canada may be needed on a, to be determined and as needed basis.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The annual base salary for this role will be competitive and commensurate with experience. Compensation includes a comprehensive benefits package.
