Visual Arts Teacher – Elementary and Middle School

in visual arts with children in a well-appointed, dedicated art space?

Clanmore Montessori School is a well-established learning environment located near
Toronto in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. Housed in a beautifully restored historic
farmhouse with custom designed additions, Clanmore offers authentic Montessori
programming from toddler through to adolescence in a cooperative work environment.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about student-centered education in
visual arts. The ideal candidate will be educated in visual arts and have experience
working independently with elementary and middle school aged children.

Qualifications / Requirements
● Formal training in visual arts
● Experience working with elementary and middle school aged children
● Effective communication skills and strong organizational skills
● Ability to implement art curriculum independently in an allotted time frame
● Growth mindset and cooperative attitude
● Current Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check
● Valid Standard First Aid certificate from a WSIB recognized provider

Duties & Responsibilities
● Maintain a beautiful and welcoming dedicated art teaching space in the school
● Work independently leading children in their discovery and refinement of varying
visual arts concepts
● Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to integrate visual arts with the
wider curriculum
● Plan and guide yearly art field trips in the GTA area
