We are currently looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and qualified teacher to join our team.

Qualifications:

• A diploma from a MACTE or AMI accredited training center
• ECE designation, an asset but not required
• Current and clear Criminal Reference & Vulnerable Sector Checks.
• Valid CPR/ First Aid certification- Level C
• Updated Immunization Record

Skills:

• Passion for working with children
• Can communicate effectively with students, parents and colleagues
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively individually and within a team setting
• Possesses strong leadership and organizational skills
• Experience with planning and implementing programs
• French skills are an asset

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement a Montessori program for children
• Meticulously manage the day-to-day operations of the classroom including, but not limited to: lesson instruction, daily recording, diapering, playground supervision, etc.
• Maintain a hygienic, neat, prepared and organized environment consistent with the Montessori pedagogy
• Develop effective relationships with parents and communicate with them daily
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality and courtesy at all times
• Demonstrate sound knowledge of all relevant sections of the Child Care & Early Years Act
